Blog United updates - we are working - honestly!
August 12, 2008
Here at Blog United, we are working feverishly round the clock to be ready in time for the start of the 2008/09 campaign. We appreciate that you are probably visiting for the latest news about the best team in the land and unfortunately, of late, we may appear to be a little lapse.
We would like to assure you that this is not the case and we are working hard on numerous areas of the site which will no doubt go unnoticed but are of upmost importance to the progression of Blog United. Our aim is not to be just another Manchester United blog but to provide you with everything possible associated with our fantastic club and this means developing numerous sections such as statistics (we don’t just print them, we have developed an awesome script which keeps track of everything – we are still tweaking it at the mo though), widgets to allow website owners to publish our in depth stats and information, watching hours of video which will eventually (soon we hope) be added to our database, compiling historical match data (soon you’ll be able to view full league tables for every year United have been competing (even back in the 1800’s when we played as Newton Heath) and building our database of past players which will eventually be a complete list of everyone who ever played at the club.
A lot of what we are working on is not available on the site yet and so when you visit, it probably looks like we are doing very little. As blog readers ourselves, we know how disappointing it can be when you visit looking for the latest updates and see nothing or very little. Because of this we have started to publish a development section on our site so that you can see where we are at and find out all the new stuff we are planning on bringing in.
We should probably have done this sooner, but as they say; better late than never.
