Danny Simpson on his future at Old Trafford
May 13, 2008
Danny Simpson is looking forward to playing his football at Old Trafford next season after a not so great spell at Ipswich Town. Simpson made 8 appearances for the champions early in the season before spending the latter part on loan with the Blues. Simpson made 8 appearances for the Blues, starting 7 times, but failed to make a major impact. He said: “I enjoyed myself a lot at Ipswich although I have to admit I did not play as I would have liked at times”.
Asked of his future at Old Trafford, Simpson said: “Sir Alex has told me I’m very much part of his plans and he wants me in his squad next year. I have also been told I’m going on the summer tour with them”.
Despite his average performances for the Blues, Ipswich are still keep to make the move permanent; there is no doubt the lad has quality. Sunderland are also reportedly interested and rumblings from United suggest a bid of £1.5 million would be enough to see Simpson leaving in the summer.
