Getting to Old Trafford by car or public transport

By Car
From the North
- Leave M6 at junction 30 (M61)
- Follow M61 until you get to the M60.
- Leave M60 at junction 9 (A5081)
- Follow A5081 for approximately 2 miles
- Turn RIGHT onto Sir Matt Busby Way
From the South
- Leave M6 at Junction 19
- Take the A556 towards Altrincham
- A556 becomes A56
- Follow A56 for approximately 6 miles
- Turn LEFT onto Sir Matt Busby Way
- Follow until you see Old Trafford (on your left)
Note: Access to Sir Matt Busby way is frequently restricted 90 minutes before kick off on a match day. Access is only granted to those with parking permits.

How do you get to Old Trafford by public transport, I can only find information from this website as to how to get there by road. I will be arriving at Picadilly station so what is the best way to get to Old Trafford from there ?
