Louis Saha staying at Manchester United?

June 27, 2008

Will Louis Saha stay at Manchester United? As far as Louis Saha is concerned, he is a Manchester United player and will be at United come the start of the season.

“I am under contract at Manchester until 2010,” he said. “Moreover the coach didn’t say anything to me yet, neither about a transfer or a loan.”

The injury plagued striker was restricted to just 24 appearances last season, starting 10 games and scoring 5 goals. His inability to stay fit has seen him drop down the pecking order at Old Trafford and Alex Ferguson is now on the hunt for another striker to bulk up his squad.

Louis Saha was signed from Fulham for £12.8 million in 2004 and in his four and a bit seasons at Old Trafford managed just 124 appearances (Wayne Rooney managed 189 in four seasons and he broke his foot twice).

Shortly before the Champions League final Saha admitted that he may have played his last game for United and with Roma and Bolton both interested in signing the Frenchman, speculation is rife that he was correct.
