Man Utd draw Southampton in FA Cup third round

Manchester United have avoided Premiership competition for once and have been handed an away tie with Southampton in the third round of the FA Cup.

The match will be played on either 3rd or 4th of January at St Mary’s Stadium.

Update 2/12/08: The match will be played on Sunday 4th January at 4pm GMT.

Southampton are currently 19th in the Championship, just 4 points above the relegation zone, having won just one of their last 5 matches.
