Man Utd update Champions League squad

Manchester United have updated their list of competing players in this season’s Champions League with the addition of young Italians Federico Macheda and Davide Petrucci. The two youngsters will replace the injured Owen Hargreaves and on loan striker Manucho and have been given the numbers 41 and 43 respectively.

Goalkeepers

1. Van der Sar, 12. Foster, 29. Kuszczak

Defenders

2. Neville, 3. Evra, 5. Ferdinand, 6. Brown, 15. Vidic, 20. Fabio, 21. Rafael, 22. O’Shea

Midfielders

8. Anderson, 11. Giggs, 13. Park, 16. Carrick, 17. Nani, 18. Scholes, 24. Fletcher, 34. Possebon, 43. Petrucci

Forwards

7. Ronaldo, 9. Berbatov, 10. Rooney, 32. Tevez, 41. Macheda

UEFA rules also allow any player born on or after 1st January 1986 who has been eligible to play for the club for a period of two years since age 15 to play in the competition as long as they are registered. United have therefore an additional five players registered for the competition. They are:

Ben Amos, Richard Eckersley, Jonny Evans, Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck

    Pretty strong squad I reckon.

    Bill, Inter’s pretty strong at the moment. I’m sure we’re all hoping United to start sweeping aside their domestic opponents (Inter’s pretty good at this currently) to send a clear message to Mourinho’s squad that it’s not going to look good for them at all when we do battle.

    @Ulrik Fredrik: We’ve got matches against Derby, Fulham and Blackburn before we meet Inter in the first leg so I hope you are right and we can expect some solid peformances in those matches :)

    Up manchester united the best club on earth.as for me i will spen my life with man utd.i want big boss sir to relas d stars boys will do their job.man utd d red devils will win Inter milan by 3-1 or 2-0 than u!
