Possebon returns to action and Foster continues recovery away to City (R)

Manchester United’s Reserves didn’t have to travel far for their away trip to Manchester City on Wednesday and albeit the match was in the Reserves League, the three nil thumping we gave them is still pretty sweet.

Rodrigo Possebon has been out of action since 23rd September when he was injured in first team duty at home to Middlesbrough. At first it was suspected the young Brazilian had suffered a broken leg such was the ferocity of the challenge by Emanuel Pogatetz, but it later emerged the midfielder had escaped with a nasty gash.

Possebon put on a good performance and was rewarded with a goal as he drilled the ball from the edge of the area in the 63rd minute scoring United’s third (Cleverley scored the first (13) and Gibson the second (pen, 57)).

Foster’s road to recovery was hardly strenuous as he was a spectator for pretty much all the match.
