Ronny: We CAN win the lot

Where Ferguson airs caution, Ronaldo exudes confidence.

Winning five trophies is the ultimate aim for everyone at United this season and whilst Ferguson thinks a clean sweep may be a step too far, Ronaldo is most certainly up for the challenge.

“We’re positive about all the competitions we’re involved in and we want to win them all,” he said.

“It would be great to achieve that.

“Last season we won the league and the European Cup, and this year we have the opportunity to do even better. We’ll continue working hard and we believe we can do this.”

Earlier in the week, Wayne Rooney was talking about United’s bid for an unprecedented quintupal and said:

“All the players are talking about what we can do because it has never been done before. It’s all we talk about at the moment – how good it would be if we could go all the way in every competition.

“There is a lot of determination now to do it.”
