Wayne Rooney in squad to face Fulham

17 February 09 by Bill

Wayne Rooney will make his United comeback on Wednesday night in United’s Premier League fixture with Fulham at Old Trafford. Rooney has recovered from his hamstring injury and is fit enough for a place on the bench.

The England forward as been out of action since lasting just 7 minutes against Wigan on 14th January. Rooney had scored in his last 2 matches before picking up the injury so let’s hope he can pick up where he left off! Sir Alex Ferguson said “He is training well. His performances have been excellent and he is back to his best.”
